Gary is a seasoned executive coach with over 35 years of helping high potential and high profile leaders achieve their personal and professional objectives. He has extensive experience as a senior leader, executive coach, consultant, and public speaker. His well-honed skills equip him to bring tangible benefits to wide variety of organizations. Background and Business Experience
Gary’s extensive resume includes a season in the U.S. Army where he was highly decorated as the youngest Drill Instructor in the Army’s history at age 18. He was also awarded the Silver Star (the nation’s third highest award for valor) while serving in Viet Nam.
He spent 18 years in the Radio Business as a successful executive including several years as VP with Infinity Broadcasting and Mariner Communications. Gary managed stations in San Jose, California (KSJO and KOME), Kansas City, Missouri (KBEQ), and Jacksonville, Florida (WIVY) and had oversight of stations in Boston and Cincinnati while serving as VP of Mariner Communications. Gary was also twice nominated as radio manager of the year by a national media publication.
He functioned successfully as both a CEO and a President and understands the issues and challenges facing today’s leaders. He is uniquely qualified to work within organizations with leaders of all levels.
He has authored two books designed to help speakers improve their communication skills,”Purpose-Centered Public Speaking” and “Overcoming the Fear of Public Speaking.” These books were written to help speakers develop and deliver purposeful talks, speeches, and presentations with less fear and more confidence.
He founded LeaderMetrix in 2006 and has developed a client list that includes public, private, and non-profit organizations. Gary is also a certified executive coach trained at Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara, California.
Coaching and Consulting Results
A Junior executive was able to restore a fractured relationship with a senior manager in three months. Six months later received a promotion to a senior level position.

Education and Training
Gary has a Master’s degree from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. He received a Doctorate in specialized communication from Gordon Conwell in South Hamilton, Massachusetts. In addition, he holds a coaching certification from Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara, California. Gary also received leadership training at the Center for Creative Leadership in San Diego, California.
